You must have a low boredom threshold

No insular, you just have no sense of entertainment value. Go watch Howard's End or something.

jennyb: I agree with you. I don't really like the comic genre, yet couldn't get enough of the site.

Whether or not the site "sux bell" is pretty subjective, but insular is right about my boredom threshold.

Look! A squirrel!

A squirrel?!?!? Where?!?!?

The site is back up now but obviously still overloaded, because I've been waiting over 10 minutes just for the basic hero to render.

It's not just you, jennyb. This one tore around our office last month and effectively halted all work for two hours. There's a whole wall of superheroes here, including "Stick Mammy" and "The Raging Kiltmeister".

Zow! daver, there's a butterfly gnawing on your backbone! :) On the other hand, you could go undercover at any number of festivals and carnivals.

I spent a lunch hour playing with this, and then an afternoon fiddling with screenshots in Photoshop. The result, if you care.

Oddly enough, the story of how I met my wife involves a costume party at which I was dressed up as a superhero.

You make fun of the outfit, you talk to the monkey. It's that simple. Who's first. ( glad you liked it ;-) )

C'mon, don't tell me the pun didn't occur to you a long time ago.

This is fun, but a game to go with it would be even better.
