that first baby is my number one favorite, and has been for a year. srsly, when i need a pick-me-up, i totally watch that little dude. i love the way he belly laughs, throwing his head back, holding his mouth open so a large dragonfly could fly in. he laughs so hard, he makes himself out-of-breath. and i don't even particularly like kids. i musta watched that video for the first time while i was all hormone-y. numba one favorite babby!

OH great, thank you so much. As you can tell by the view counts, these videos were really unknown and needed further mention. Am I bitter because the video I took of my adorable first cousin once removed only has a 1000 hits? Maybe. Plus, which is funnier, a baby laughing at his dad making a face, or a baby laughing because he finds the sound a plastic water bottle makes when it falls over hilarious?

The second one where the kid keeps bonking his head and keeps on laughing really got me. Especially where he was laughing so hard he threw himself on the floor. Deathalicious, your cousin is adorable. I like how he stops every now and then to stare at everyone and be like "What are you laughing at?" But I'm sure he's going to hate you in 15 years when he finds out you put him on youtube for 1500 strangers to giggle at.

I made it 2 seconds into the first one without laughing. Baby laughs rule. What was surprising to me was that the dads in the first two videos have the same exact retarded talking-to-baby voice that I affected when talking to my own babies. Research needs to be done.

Before I give in and watch all of these, I feel the need to gripe about the spacing of the comments on the videos. Why do people space their captions precisely between two pictures or videos on the page so that you have to guess which one each applies to? Does this author really believe that babies are so seductive that I will commit myself to a vague preview of a "could-be-cute-or-could-be-really-annoying" baby, just to find out whether it is the one that will have a famous laugh when he grows up or the one who will achieve world domination? Or do bloggers actually think that people carefully scroll up and then down and then up again to confirm, "Ahhh, the captions apply to the picture ABOVE! Now I have a proper introduction to these fucking pixel blobs and can proceed!"

When my brother was a baby, my father would record him crying. Then, when he was asleep, my father would remove him from the crib and hide him somewhere in the house, putting the recording of the crying in the crib. My mother, hearing the recording, would come to check on the baby, and promptly freak out when she discovered that he wasn't in the crib. My parents are still married, but you're completely out of luck if you want me to explain why.

The quads were $10k and $100k winners on America's Funniest Home Videos. The difference between how the mom looked on the $10k show (exhausted) and the $100k show (polished) was pretty funny in and of itself, in a meta fashion. Lotsa great laughing baby stuff stuck in AFV's vaults. They really need to get more of it released into the wild so we can make endless loops of laughing babies, which has been proven to heal many wrongs (see comment re: absorbed by evil & music, above). I went down the page and started all of the videos one after the other, longest ones first, shortest ones last. I'm a much happier person now.
