Albert Hofmann, the Swiss chemist who discovered the hallucinogenic drug LSD, has died. In my narrow world of Internet development in the '90s we enjoyed the line 'There are two major products that come out of Berkeley: LSD and UNIX. We don't believe this to be a coincidence.' Although the article points out "The drug was popularised by (a) Harvard professor"
