Ritchie: Does GW actually look this cool? I've never played it, but the one with the scaffolding appears to be an in-game shot. I'd love to hear from people who've played the game whether it looks this good and whether it's architecturally interesting.

Guild Wars does look about this cool, but not this sketchy, which is sort of a shame. You do get to see these images during loading screens, though.

Nitpick: "Game developer" (in this case, Art Director) is not the same thing as "Game Designer". Nevertheless, this is beautiful work.

That's the first thing it reminded me of, as well. Great use of lighting, and all. I would link to Archive.org's copy of Mullins' old site, but the coverage seems very spotty and more trouble than it's worth to navigate. There is a hi-res collection of his commercial work for Halo, though, at halo.bungie.org. There is also a gallery of his Marathon art at HBO's sister site, marathon.bungie.org.

Actually Firefox 3b5 let me resize them without a problem (full screen). This Flickr set has some of his work in a larger size, for those people having browser issues.
