I presume, crapmatic, that it's because a) men die earlier than women on average, b) men marry younger women on average, especially in second marriages, and c) men remarry more than women on average. (You could say serial polygamy, if you like ...)

I never knew that 2/3rds of all rowhomes are located in PA. I was born and raised here and have been living in the same rowhome my entire life. Everyone I know lives in a rowhome.

Lowe's, like every other big box store, has an iron-clad corporate-wide interior signage policy which is implemented in every store, regardless of the actual demographics of any given individual store. Pretty much Every sign in every Lowes in this country is translated into Spanish.

It is true that Lowe's has all interior signage and packaging for many products in both English and Spanish (or in Canada, English and French.) However, if more than a few people complain loudly and often enough, you can manage to get them to turn off the Spanish portion of the announcement that you've just set off the anti-theft system, as I witnessed in Ohio recently.

No, I don't think we have that chain here. But in any case English and French are both our official languages, so yeah, things are packaged here with both.

Why did they complain? I am seriously, in earnest, trying to imagine someone's complaint, and I can not imagine what bothered them about it. Are they angry that Spanish exists?
