I can't believe I'm saying this, but I almost feel a bit bad for him in that clip. He's got a line on the autocue that doesn't make sense to him, a few seconds to shoot the link, and no one else in the studio seems to be responding with any sense of urgency when he looks to them for help. He's fucked off because he's the one who's going to have to go out live and he's the one who's going to look like a dick if he doesn't nail the link - he's the only person there who can't afford to be blasé. Sure, he overreacts and is unprofessional, but I can't entirely blame him. It's not like he flips out over an egg and cress sandwich. Live TV must be immensely stressful. Besides, the guy doesn't want respect from weenie terrorist-hugging liberals like me, anyway. He just wants attention. If everybody just learned to ignore his ruddy-faced blustering, eventually he'd shrink to the size of a matchstick then vanish with a pop.

I don't know what's not to understand. The prompter probably says something like " and now to play us out, here's Sting" He doesn't understand the part of the line "to play us out". True, he doesn't get much support from his producer in the way of an explanation, but in radio and tv terms, "to play us out" is not exact an uncommon phrase. In computer terms, it might be similar to telling someone who works in IT to type www.whatever in the address bar, and having that person say "What does address bar mean!? I DON"T UNDERSTAND WHAT ADDRESS BAR IS!!! "

I didn't realize that Bill started out on Inside Edition. I remember that show because it had a very forceful, impressive starting graphic and intro sound effect thing. Swoooooop...SLAM! I was, I dunno, maybe 12 at the time, and I thought this, THIS, is how you do a news show. Look how factual it must be! You can't argue with a swoop/slam. Then I actually watched a few minutes of an episode. Even at age 12, with no real exposure to the news, I could tell this was a load of over-hyped, alarmist crap. I doubt Bill's got any mellower over the years, especially with his own show.

I see stuff like this, and I really wonder what it is that has filled O'Reilly with such rage and anger for so much of his life. He has a personality that seems to go from neutral to red-lined in a gear-grinding blink of an eye. Without bothering to research others theories as to the cause, I'm going to assume that it's because in his spare time, he removes the wings from wasps, and then stores the flightless insects in his rectum. Whenever he suddenly becomes enraged it's because one has started stinging him internally, and since he is on camera, there is nothing he can do but bear it. It's a strange addiction which he has, but let's be honest, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise to anyone, now should it? Keep this in mind, and every time you watch him suddenly and unexpectedly explode in the future, it will make perfect sense. That dance remix was quite good.

I find it interesting that the rappers he's constantly condemning on his show, like Snoop, usually come off as rather harmless people in comparison. I don't know why this man is filled with such rage, but I hope he eventually finds some peace in his raging storm of a life. Sure, he overreacts and is unprofessional, but I can't entirely blame him. Cant we blame people for going completely fucking apeshit anymore? Look, I understand there was a slight misunderstanding with teleprompter and the text. Its understandable to say "Hey, hold on one second here, I dont understand this line. Please explain it." Its not understandable to act like a child and start screaming and swearing. I dont know why this concept is so hard for the O'Reilly defenders to understand. We all go through life keeping our egos and tempers in check for the greater good. This guy doesnt. He shouldnt be rewarded for it.

In an alternate universe, this abusive asshole would have on one of the rappers he likes to denounce who, in mid sentence, would pull out a huge, Dirty Harry-style handgun and blow his fucking head to pieces.
