A little context would be nice. Here's the actual opinion.

Agreed regarding context.
Does this differ from the Mass. law?
Consequences?
Etc?

Oh, and the CA Supreme Court did not actually "legalize" same-sex marriage. They just said that a law banning same-sex marriage while allowing opposite-sex marriage is unconstitutional.

Consequences?

Gay people dancing in the streets?
Mass hysteria in the bible belt?
People in MA chanting we did it first?

Way to go California.

Of course, this just means that some yahoos are going to try for a constitutional amendment, but it's still good news for now.

ATTENTION RIGHT-WING DICKHEADS

1) The world will progress whether you like it or not;
2) Come out of the closet, it's nicer out here.

Ahhnold said he would "not support" such an amendment, for what it's worth.
Not sure if it'll keep the hate-mongers at bay, however...

In other news, California's 55 electoral votes are awarded to John McCain.

No, this is really good news. Way to go Gays! Woohoo!
