Wow, strangely enough, the Paper Putin post has been deleted from englishrussia.com Conspiracy?! No wonder I couldn't find it with Google. Might be tough to find another copy unless you speak Russian. I can testify that "russian doll" (due to matrioskiy) is futile, as well as "Putin paper folds" (putin closes moscow newspaper).

For paper Soma cubes, try soma-en.pdf The model is based on this book: Steve and Megumi Biddle, The New Origami, St. Martin's Press, New York, 1993, ISBN 0-312-08037-9. A note: the person who developed this method used seven 1.1m long strips of ticker tape, so try to find a good ticker tape source before starting.

puzzler: Thank you... however, I'd already stumbled upon that same PDF, and those aren't cut-out figures; rather, it's a paper-strip folding method. I realize that it shouldn't be too hard to design my own... but I'm just too darn lazy, not to mention tridimensionally challenged as well.
