15x15 is viewable artwork consisting of 15 individual screens displaying a random video clip stored within the database for 15 seconds. Anyone can contribute, from the banal to the bizarre.

ok, i gave in and upload a video of my budgie dancing.
I wonder whose funding this, cause the flash app is wasting bandwidth. If you look at the "about", "be famous", or" "contact" pages, the flash doesn't pause the video, and it will still be sending 3MB/s of video to you, even though your not watching them.

I really like this. It's the banality of some of the material that makes it so mesmerizing when put together. I can't spend too much time there, though -- I have a bandwidth limit.

I find the 15 plain white squares on a black background that appear in my browser window when I hit the site (firefox, mac) to be trenchant commentary. But I'm guessing that's not what they had in mind.

I'm with jbickers, 15x15 is a misnomer, but as the 15 videos that are there don't seem to load anyway, I suppose it does not matter.

I suspect those of you having trouble with the videos loading are using Adblock or other FF extensions. I disabled Adblock a couple of weeks ago because it always messed up embedded Flash video.
