Sordo Recordings is a new free internet record label hosting some interesting talents, but the Sordo name has been around for a while as it pertains to their rather robust database. The Sordo Music Database is a good resource for posting and seeking bands of indie, hardcore, progressive, post-rock, metal, idm, or just about any genre. If you have trouble accessing the database, try thinking like a duck.

This post was deleted for the following reason: Is that database anything other than just some guy hosting other people's music? Because it kind of looks like that, which makes this a pretty weird post. -- cortex

try thinking like a duck

I hope some old man comes and throws some bread at me. Also, I wish someone would create an interface more suitable to my wings and webbed feet (and to a lesser extent, beak); it's difficult for me to download music on these human computers.

So all these not-so-legal downloads are protected by an extraordinarily weak captcha-like thing?

A) Security by obscurity is dumb. Type in duck to get into the database.

B) A web based piracy database? How long can this last?

That's type in "quack" to enter the database.

This is kinda ridiculous.

On behalf of the thousands of musicians whose music is being pirated via this database, I'd like to respectfully request that the moderators delete this post at their earliest convenience.
