Borking flash.
On the flash view, zooming with the + is unusably fast.
However, the triangle displayed above the controls is a zoom slider. posted by hexatron at 8:59 AM on June 5, 2008
I'm not sure if I'm strangely impressed or deeply dismayed that the previous owner, Alexandre Rosenberg, glued his Picasso-designed bookplate right into the manuscript. posted by newmoistness at 9:01 AM on June 5, 2008
I very much wish that all art on the web were presented this well. As someone who studies the period, being able to zoom in so closely on the costume details is a great boon.
I wonder how much that would go for in an auction! Its amazing. posted by Smuggler at 10:05 AM on June 5, 2008

I was about to say that this is why the internet will never replace books, but without the internet, most of us would never be able to examine something like this in detail. posted by cedar key at 8:11 AM on June 6, 2008
Yes, I don't often think to say it, but great scans! It must've been a scary job.
It's so meta, this manuscript - from the little golden cord-frames around the images (very bookbindy) to the little drawing of the virgin and child posing for a painter on page 3. It's also very reminiscient of Central Asian minatures. Love it! posted by DenOfSizer at 10:20 AM on June 7, 2008
