Works great for me on Firefox.
It's also insanely addictive. I just "crawled" the first lines of "Finnegan's Wake". Surreal. posted by TDavis at 9:09 AM on June 22, 2008

This piece of shit website ate my goddamn lecture to the girlfriend about not doing her part to keep the kitchen clean and now I have to talk to her face to face about this?
If this thing had actually worked for me, it would've been the most awesome recipe for baking powder biscuits ever. posted by katillathehun at 11:28 AM on June 22, 2008

Totally works for me with Firefox 2 on Windows XP. I just made a recap of our last D&D session with it. posted by baphomet at 11:49 AM on June 22, 2008
Isn't the Star Wars company, like, extremely supportive of fan-created derivative works? Fan movies have even been screened at film festivals, etc. posted by roll truck roll at 3:17 PM on June 22, 2008
You've bested me this time, wiley AJAX. I will be re-re-re installing firefox in the name of creative expression to bring my vision to these series of tubes posted by hellojed at 6:37 PM on June 22, 2008
LucasFilm has asked us to remove this site, as they felt it infringed on their properties. We have enjoyed seeing the tens of thousands of users over the past several days, and thank you for your interest.

The more you tighten your grip, Lucas, the more websites will slip through your fingers. posted by Faint of Butt at 12:55 PM on June 23, 2008 [1 favorite]
Aw, nuts.
By the way, Mac users in this thread who haven't checked out majick's link above really should. posted by Prospero at 1:39 PM on June 23, 2008
I'm not sure I understand Lucas' objection or (more importantly) the website's capitulation. While the use of "Star Wars" in the title and url might be problematic, I don't think Lucas can assert a copyright or trademark on yellow text crawling against a space background. Seems whatever infringement exists could be easily rectified by a few word tweaks and a disclaimer. posted by pardonyou? at 2:11 PM on June 23, 2008
