repeat, and linked to bogus back story. the phone message itself is real, but originates from Toronto. the toronto accent is often mistaken for californian.

Can someone finally explain to me, a Torontonian, how that's a Toronto accent? I hear that message, I don't think Toronto.

I mean, is a Toronto accent even possible? Of all my Toronto friends, maybe two of them were actually born in this city.
