First Nathaniel W's Metropolis post, and now this. Finally I have something to look forward to watching. I highly recommend Viking Eggeling's Symphonie diagonale on Europa Film Treasures, a groundbreaking piece of experimental animation. Too bad I can't embed the videos.

dougzilla, I found this annoying too, but I found that if you pause the film for a while the whole thing will download into the buffer -- then you can play it without interruption. Takes some time, but worthwhile. Nicely done stereo soundtracks, too, in the ones I saw.
