Gary Busey was once in a motorcycle accident without a helmet and it took him a while to recover. What we see may or may not be the result of a brain injury. There is also debate about whether or not he's really as out-of-touch as he seems on camera or if it's a facade of some sort. I dunno. Seems pretty convincing to me, and I tend to lean more toward the behaviour being a result of his accident. Either way, I'd really like to know at some point. I always get this weird worry that he's being taken advantage of, and it'd be great to know one way or the other.

Oh, he was definitely not normal...that's true. And Nick Nolte will never compare to some of Busey's worst moments during the days when people were still trying to make real deals with "Buddy Holly". I liked him back in the day as an interesting, intelligent person, and I find that some of his more unrestrained moments of goofy candor are far preferable to the canned archness or politesse we see from celebrities these days. I'd just like to know whether or not folks are taking advantage of him or not. Well, and I admit that drug abuse might make me less comfortable about my interest, too, so that'd be good to know.

Let's put it this way... the Busey crazy is so powerful and off-putting in person that it can instantly make THIS woman (and everyone around her) THIS visibly shaken... even though she's a trained ass-kicking actress, in the middle of doing PR for her job, who knows she's standing in front of a camera and being watched by thousands of people. Plus, she lives in LA which is *filled* with eccentric shmoozy people that she has no doubt mastered the art of being politely dismissive to. Yet, when face to face with the Busey, her face filled with sheer panic and was overtaken by her flight response. Just sayin'.
