Wow. Some of those carriages and strollers had beauty and style! The ones you see today often look like lawyer-designed miniature Humvees. posted by longsleeves at 1:22 PM on July 18, 2008

Hey, neat. The other day we saw a really beautiful, styly vintage pram outside the secondhand store. It had Western-style scrolling and a fun pom pom fringe.
My mom had a pram for me; musta been one the last ones. It was probably hand-me-down like most of our stuff! posted by Miko at 1:59 PM on July 18, 2008

I once used an empty baby stroller to fend off a family of raccoons who were camped on my friend's porch. posted by ducky l'orange at 5:06 PM on July 18, 2008
Oh no, they're still for sale.
Yikes! $999.98? Oh wait, it's discounted from $1,830.00 so it's really a great bargain. posted by longsleeves at 5:14 PM on July 18, 2008

I love that they have a section specifically for "doll transport." posted by bluefly at 4:47 AM on July 19, 2008
I've borrowed an old green italian (perego) pram from a friend and the ride in it is incredible ... it goes across bumpy, muddy fields smoothly and fits my four-year-old and new baby. So many people come up to me to comment on it. I keep it on the front porch and have walked all over my town with it. I wish it could go in the car to take it to visit the grandparents but that is the only disadvantage. posted by saucysault at 6:09 AM on July 20, 2008
