Italian metal band Fratello Metallo's lead singer is a Capuchin friar

Br. Cesare Bonizzi, "the heavy metal friar"(watch out for the volume on that last link), says he was inspired by the energy of Metallica and that he is not trying to convert anyone to Christianity, but rather to "convert [listeners] to life" and get them to live their lives "full stop."

As I was just beginning my graduate education there was a guy I saw around a few times always wearing robes and with a powerful Beard.

Later on someone mentioned there was a monk who recently finished up his own graduate education, and I said, "Good to know, because I saw him around a few times and I was leaning towards monk but I wasn't sure if maybe he was just REALLY METAL."

It is good to see both coexisting, because this is METAL AS FUCK.

I don't know what he was saying in that Youtube link, but he sure seems to be a fan of Dio.

I'll get my coat...

A Capuchin monkey that sang metal would be even better ... and Cebus is a cool name for a band.

Nice post.

I'm confused. I just watched half a dozen of his YouTube videos and there was no singing or music in evidence. Am I missing something?
