Every year in Britain, because we're generally uptight about - well - pretty much everything - we enter a period commonly known as silly season. It's when people get to say all the silly things they wouldn't necessarily be able to say and strange occurances become the norm. At other times of the year, the usual response would be a tut and a change of the channel on the TV, click on a browser or turn of a page. But during silly season, they become the main news, journalists falling over each other to get the story. Starts April 1st and goes on until the news organisations get tired of it. And it can infect everyone, even the misguided. And with the colded Spring on record happening, it looks like it's going to continue for months. Then again, it could also be another example of trolling but in Actual Reality.

Well, our government has to do something towards legalising their personal lives. Now homosexuality with 16 year old boys is legal, I wonder what they will focus on next... prostitution, cannabis... who knows! Sounds like God is an OK kind of guy!

Sheesh, don't the British Bigots know that homosexuality doesn't cause disease? It just causes terrorist bombs, earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes and meteors. If the widespread practice of homosexuality will bring about the destruction of your nation, if it will bring about terrorist bombs, if it'll bring about earthquakes, tornadoes and possibly a meteor, it isn't necessarily something we ought to open our arms to. ... The UK silly season is in August as well, and this story hasn't been reported very widely at all in the mainstream media. As far as I know Ananova pinched it off a local paper, and now it's made it to Yahoo.

Exactly Mocata, silly season is the period of time that Parliament is in summer recess, since the newspapers have the same space to fill but no political news to fill it with, they traditionally resort to stories which wouldn't get a look in any other time of the year. Now, excuse me I have a witch dunking to attend.
