Should be great until the earth-shattering moment people find out there as just as many crazy doctors who can't spell as crazy homemakers. Seriously, that would be great. There's a very odd doctors-on-pedestals thing in the USA, and and near as I can tell, only in the USA. It'll be healthy for everyone to see that they can be wrong, too.

There's a very odd doctors-on-pedestals thing in the USA, and and near as I can tell, only in the USA. It'll be healthy for everyone to see that they can be wrong, too. "Well, doctor, it says on the Internet that you should write me a script for that medicince I saw advertised in People magazine. I checked with my insurance company and they say it's covered under my plan."

This seems like it has the same potential, if not more so, than WebMd for fueling hypochondria. "I must have a brain tumor! I have a headache and Medpedia says that it could be a symptom of a tumor! And they're DOCTORS!" I can only imagine that the words "I read on WebMd..." send chills of fear into doctors everywhere.

MarshallPoe: From what I've figured out, MedPedia will require editors to be registered MDs/PhD's. Non us riff-raff mixing up RNA and DNA anymore. I can only imagine that the words "I read on WebMd..." send chills of fear into doctors everywhere. Hey, that once helped House solve a medical mystery. If it worked with such a l33t doctor, surely it must work otherwise.
