I wish they had a 'save game' feature. Like milarepa said 'rectangle' tripped me up multiple times and I couldn't be bothered starting from the beginning again. I very much doubt it was worth it to persevere.

So this test defines a non-idiot as: * Someone who knows the difference between a square and a rectangle. * Someone who isn't color blind. * Someone who can count cats. * Someone with good mouse dexterity. * Someone with a decent memory (or a pen and a piece of paper). "Don't press the square button, press the rectangular one" makes sense to any reasonable person. Finished it, but I did fail on the "press fast" button the first time.

Apparently clicking on a square deliberately when they ask you to pick a rectangle, to see whether the creators of the test ever took a high school geometry class and know that squares are rectangles, qualifies you as an idiot. Not impressed.

A lot of you failed on the quick green button, or on the rectangles thing. I was smart enough to assume they weren't smart about the rectangle thing, and smart enough to trust myself to respond quickly to click the green button quickly enough on my first try. So I got through it perfectly on my first go. That doesn't mean I'm smart, but it does mean that I'm smug.

Also, I'm *so* glad this was not a screamer. I mean I have the sound turned off and am sort of conditioned to the point where sudden flashing ghoulish images don't bother me much, but jeez. My college graduate, otherwise perfectly presentable friend found it necessary to unleash that maze game screamer (if you know what I'm on about, great, else, no need to look it up) on a hapless Chilean exchange student who proceeded to let his tongue protrude ever so slightly from between his teeth while making absurdly precise mouse movements, only to segue into an apparent heart attack moments later. I couldn't find the words to say how multi-level lame it was of him. I mean, not only is it cruel and a very cheap form of humour; but jeez, screamers were funny for, like, two weeks in 1999? Uh, carry on.

Yeah, I wanted -- badly -- to email him with a subject line of "You Fool!" and a body consisting only of a link to a page of explanation and tools for designing online resources for the colorblind. He's smart enough not to have included any contact information, though. It's probably really unreasonable of me to feel this much inchoate rage over not being able to tell his orange buttons from his green ones, but really -- orange vs. green! ARGH!!!!
