If only Holland were an island.
Considered in isolation, our government's peculiar attitude towards drugs is probably a good idea. Unfortunately, it attracts trouble from all over the Europe, eroding public support. Border towns like Venlo are stuck in the middle and have to come up with half-baked solutions like this.
Half-baked, you say? Yes, because the export of drugs is still illegal (pdf link). And so is using drugs in traffic.
