Andre Perkowski has remixed various classic silent films, including The Bat and The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari to create a silent 1920's version of Batman: Origin Story, Rogues' Gallery.

Also: Adam West in The Dark Knight Returns.

The silent films ran a little longer than their "interval of interesting," and aside from the Joker, a lot of those Rogue's Gallery picks were real stretches. Was the Penguin originally Ben Franklin? However, the Adam West Returns link was pure fucking gold. I'm gonna go back and read it again right now.

Heh. I get a post deleted and then someone links to something I made. The Dark Knight Returns thing came out of a conversation with a friend, when it was mentioned that Frank Miller used Adam West as his template for Batman in DKR. One thing led to another, badda badda badda...BAM.
