levelHead is a spacial memory game by artist Julian Oliver, using a hand-held solid-plastic cube as its only interface. On-screen each face of the cube contains a little room, each of which are logically connected by doors through which you guide your character. Take a look at a demonstration or build your own levelHead setup.

Ridiculously cool. Thanks for posting this...

I wonder how long it will be before something like this is mass produced and marketed to the masses.

Very cool, but it looks like a lot of work for the results.

I played this at the Homo Ludens Ludens show at Laboral where it's currently on exhibition and it's pretty fantastic. It's a bit of a mind fuck for some people who aren't quite expecting it to behave the way it does but it's a beautiful concept.

The one issue (which is easily fixed in the open source version) is that the controls feel backwards. It may have changed since, but on the build I played the web-cam that's doing the computer vision flips your perspective on the cube you're holding. This makes the mappings between what's happening on the screen and what you tell your hands to do a bit wacky.

Oh, that is sweet. :)

It should be easy to make it compatible with an angle-sensor equipped device, such as an iPhone or Nokia N95.
