An enjoyably disturbing animation.
About the film, which is named Rabbit:
Written and Directed by Run Wrake
Original Illustrations by Geoffrey Higham
Produced by a commission funded through Finetake for Arts Council England and Channel 4
Music by Howie b and Craig Richards
Thanks for the post butterstick. The film is worth seeing again. :) posted by nickyskye at 2:16 PM on August 19, 2008

Man, the greatest hurdle facing the animator today has to be voice. We can do facial expressions, complicated animated movement, incredible title sequences, anything you can fathom, but talking characters is practically solely the domain of big budget animation studios. Sound effects, not that big a deal. But animating a talking mouth is a big damn deal, and the expense required to record voice well with a minimum of outside ambient noise seems to be the last major obstacle for the independent (or even low budget professional) animator. It's gotten to the point now where I just don't want to see even one more pantomime animated performance. posted by shmegegge at 2:39 PM on August 19, 2008 [1 favorite]

It just goes to show! If you cut a rabbit in half and find an idol, don't feed it jam and then attract a lot of bugs for it to turn into gems. posted by aubilenon at 5:47 PM on August 19, 2008
