MeFi: The Game

Playcrafter is now in open alpha. Playcrafter allows you to easily create Flash games with a drag-and-drop online toolkit. Some of the neater ones to play include games like Unstack and Matcheroo, and, of course, my original creation MeFi Plate of Beans. Do you think you can do a better MeFi game? [God, I should hope so.]

Your direct link to your game doesn't seem to go anywhere in particular. I can see the game ID in the URL, but that doesn't seem to mean anything to the flash navigator.

Odd, seems to work for me in multiple browsers, and the "number of times played" on the game seems to be shooting up (wooohooo, now all I need to do is monetize the suckiness!), so some people are playing.

Incidentally, I also started a helicopter game where you have to fight against the giant heads of cortex and mathowie, but it was actually worse than MeFi Plate of Beans. Feel free to take the idea and run with it, though.

Yeah, it works for me, too.

Ah, I figured it out, it was NoScript. Sorry!

I was playing, and I liked its suckiness.

The Plate of Beans game is annoyingly addictive.

Heh. I'll have to play with this later when I'm not totally at work. Maybe I can recreate the Timeout Playroom.

I have never been more comprehensively terrible at a game than I am at MeFi: Plate of Beans. Seriously, it's tragic.

I totally fail at Mefi Plates of Beans. *sigh*

Stop overthinking it.

I am pleased to present

MODERATOR BATTLE 3000!!!!

Shoot the spinning heads of Mathowie and cortex before they shoot you. Destroy the MeFi spheres for bonus points. Watch out, cortex spins amazingly quickly, though the head of mathowie is notoriously inaccurate.

Again, I am sorry.

Ooh, I rock at Plate of Beans.

Moderator Battle 3000 is cool. I like how shots will occasionally bounce off my rotors if directed from above.

WHERE'S JESSATRON?

Dude, the cortex head chips zapped the crap out of me within 2 seconds of starting. Just blam. No remorse. The mathowie head chips couldn't hit me for anything. I swear the mathowie head chip shot me and it just bounced off, and then the cortex head zapped me. No fun without the Jessatron though.

Who do you think is flying the chopper?

(Work bedamned, I had to peek. Beauty, blahblahblah.)

I really do like how plate of beans only has 2 levels. Indeed just pull back and let it rip.

Nice shoutout to the MeFi steam group. Count me among the terrible at PoB.

Damn you PoB. Double Damn you, MB 3000.

Hey, don't blame me!

No other contributions? When a FPP mentions something like limericks, everyone participates. But choose something really geeky, like games, and I am the only one who makes something.

There can be only one conclusion: I am the alpha geek. Bow before me, MetaFilter!

Sorry, I'm working on my blog about the X-Files.

Amazing AI on MB3K, I go after Mathowie, and cortex takes me out from behind.
It's just like MeTa.

I love the music on PoB. I want that playing behind me as I walk down the street and wave to my neighbors.
