i'm a little confused - what is the point of having to select 3 paintings, then in the next step, only being allowed to view from 2 of the 3?

Wow, this really cool. I just spent a bunch of time zooming in on sections of Hunting near Hartenfels Castle, and the details really are amazing. Love to see a similar treatment of Breughel's Mad Meg.
