How, exactly, was this "banned" by the Mormon Church? Where does this video actually come from? It just seems like pretty ugly anti-Mormon propaganda to me.

Mormonism, like all branches of Christianity, is pretty damn silly. The difference is that its new, and its silliness hasn't yet acquired the impenetrable armor of respectability that religions tend to get over the course of the centuries.
Or, in other words: "Ha ha, those silly Mormons think Jesus came from planet Kobol, while us sane mainstream Christians know talking snakes and magic fruit are real and not at all silly!"

Sotonohito, is oversimplifying. Mormonism is a uniquely American scam, a provably invented faith for which its followers have collective amnesia of its earthly origin.
