Gorgeous. Makes me think differently about the charts and graphs and tables that are in the reports that I proof and edit - they are purely functional, which is mostly how I think about data, and the presentation thereof. But these are...wow. Thanks!

I should add that "heaven knows" is aparently used a lot more frequently than "hell knows," which maybe shouldn't have been so surprising. Also, there's something beautiful in the crowded center on the Men/Women one as opposed to the more divisive other subjects.

Gorgeous, yes. Visualizations...not really. I get no additional insight into the data by mere virtue of using a good palette on a black background. You have to actually expose or highlight the relationship you intend to illustrate.

DU, I think it's a pretty tight demonstration of phenomenology relating to various binarisms in language culture. Of course, it's mostly for fun, but the men <> women one is a pretty tidy analysis of gendering in culture, and the spectrum of representation by which that is accomplished. Note that "men" appears in large font near the "women" side, illustrating how often women are not spoken about without being related to men, but that most words cluster toward the middle. That says something!
