Fuck, that's sad, but the hope and pride in a few of the photos is inspiring. Great post. This photographer has some other interesting series as well. I especially liked the one on burakumin (Japanese "untouchables").

To me the sickest moment is the colgate/idol picture. How can someone, let alone a healthcare company, put there name on an event that does nothing to end all the suffering going on outside the door?

I'm a little confused. How should Colgate/Polmolive be acting in Cambodia? Should all events, sponsored by multi-nationals or not be nothing but sombre durges until the AIDS crisis is over? I don't know what you are saying. The article said nothing about Colgate/Polmolive's donations or committments or lack thereof to the eradication of HIV/AIDS in Cambodia or anywhere in the world. What it does say is that foreign capital is bringing improvements to Cambodia in addition to lively media events and uses the photo as an illustration. Nowhere is there a condemnation of Colgate. They could be handing out condoms at the show or raising money for the clinic for all we know.
