Elect the RIGHT Palin : because supreme power derives from a mandate form the masses, not from farcical aquatic ceremony.

I didn't watch the link, and probably won't, but I would definitely vote for Michael Palin for President. He's not just funny, but he seems genuinely concerned and thoughtful.

It took less than a second after hearing Sarah Palin's name for the first time to think "Michael Palin. Heh." And I knew someone had already thought if it. Sarah Palin had been announced as McCain's running mate for less than eight hours and I got an email forward, complete with long trail of "FWD>fwd>FWD" detritus, featuring John McCain and Michael Palin in a shitty photoshop job. I'm surprised it took this long to become a half-assed YouTube video.

Michael Palin saved a lot of half-baked sketches just by being inherently funny, but his mere presence can't save this idea.

He's definitely well traveled.

It's funny because: Two different people have the same last name!
It's funny because: It shows brief bits of jokes that someone else made 35 years ago!

Is there more to this that I'm not getting?

You mean head torturer for Central Services? Well yes, he does seem more qualified.

There are rumors that the National Enquirer has pictures of a young Michael Palin in nothing but suspenders and a bra.

I don't think grapefruitmoon was expecting the Spanish Inquisition.
