Aptly named hardcore deconstructionists Fucked Up are slated to play a free, 12-hour show in NYC on Tuesday, October 14th. The show will feature appearances from the likes of John Cale, Matt Sweeney, David Cross, Mobb Deep, Akon, Vivian Girls, U2's The Edge, and others.

Well, this sounds like fun. Perhaps I'll drop in and play, they seem open to it...

The Edge should do a solo unplugged version of The Wurzels classic Combine Harvester.

Prodigy from mobb deep is going to have a little trouble making it to the show considering he's serving 2 years in jail.

What are the odds that The Edge's participation is a hoax? [NOT U2-IST]

pxe2000: my guess is that it's true. my understanding is that he pops up in a lot of places in support of a lot of different things. (and i actually did get to meet him once at a dedication/presentation he was doing in new orleans for gibson guitars. nice fellow.)

That sounds like fun. "Epics in Minutes" is a great record.

The fact that Matador will provide free booze and rent a free space for this but won't provide a live web-feed is pretty Fucked Up.

But still, I kind of dig that things like this exist. Thanks for the post.

That first link doesn't seem to show that they're "aptly named." In fact, it seems to show that they're pretty dorky.
