This seems like more of a complete pressing botch-up, versus the Asus CD which contained the proper software plus confidential and personal software along with an illegal keygen software hack. The incident follows another strange occurrence involving Cisco two weeks ago, when lower case ts temporarily disappeared from the networking giant's homepage.
I think this is probably a disgruntled Cisco employee, possibly even a little Cisco Fight Club, acting out small and humorous passive-aggressive attacks against the company.
