This is awesome. I didn't even realize some of these were movie refs (although sometimes you can tell that it's a ref even if you don't recognize it). In some of them, it almost looks like they traces the original (the psycho hole in the wall scene and the Grinch in particular).

Huh. I didn't know those cupcakes were stand ins for the Clockwork Orange breasts. Makes perfect sense in hind sight what with the electro-shock conditioning and somehow I'd never twigged in the past. I'll have to find someone who doesn't have the internet and impress them with my new found knowledge next time it's on.

They missed the scene in the trampoline episode when Marge points out all the kids who have injured themselves on the trampoline, and they're all laid out on the ground for a mile, like the war wounded in "Gone With the Wind".

Some of these seem like a stretch at best. The "drawing mustaches on the wanted posters" gag is probably an extension of the Guy Incognito gag from the series, rather than the writers sitting around desperately wanting to find some way to pay homage to a crappy Leslie Nielsen movie from 10 years ago.

There's a joke among the writers of the Simpsons that if you took every clip that parodied Citizen Cane in the Simpons you would get a scene for scene parody of the movie.

They missed one that always comes to mind when thinking about Simpson's movie parodies. It might be in the Who Shot Mr. Burns episode, where Mr. Burns has regained consciousness and is sitting up in his hotel bed. My memory is a little fuzzy, though; I haven't watched the Simpsons in a long time. Anyway, it's a parody of the scene in A Clockwork Orange where Alex is sitting up in bed and being fed. The way Mr. Burns snaps his mouth open, waiting for another forkful, is identical to what Alex does. Very subtle. I think the Simpsons may have inaugurated referencing movies in this way. It's funny, but I'm not sure why.
