You have caused me to click on a Gawker related blog to read fashion gossip. Your life is forfeit.

I used to kind of chuckle to myself when people complained about how many political posts there were. "I don't know, I think this is fun," I would think. I no longer think that, and am no longer chuckling.

The donkeys are all following each other in that scarf, whereas Palin is a maverick.

Can you tell a good FPP from a bad one?

There's better ways to make fun of spending $150,000 on wardrobe in the past month or so. Try comparing to a $400 haircut that somebody can't live down.

I know it's not very mavericky of me to say so, but I would also like to make it stop.

Yeah, at least it could have some craftiness involved.

You're not going to live this godawful FPP down for a long time, so you may as well get ready to part with $5 for a sock puppet.

You know who else had a Democrat-themed scarf?

Yeah, me neither.

Chinese Jet Pilot: "Was this Democrat-themed scarf..."

The correct term is "Democrataliciously," thanks.

You's think that for that kind of money, her clothes wouldn't look like clown suits.

I bet if this was a post of photos of Obama looking all pensive and charismatic there would be 150+ comments full of awesome love.

I am disgusted by Palin, not to mention expensive scarves, but this is a terrible, terrible post. And you should feel terrible.

There was a Republican theme scarf she could have bought, but she reached across the aisle to buy this one instead.

My flagging system seems to be broken, so I'm going to go send the mods some smoke signals instead.

At what point is it ok to directly IM a mod about the shittyness of a post rather than flagging as garbage?

I kinda expect stuff like this here, especially in the election longthreads, but I heard about this on NPR this morning. I was utterly disgusted. Not about Palin or wardrobes or scarves. I was disgusted that NPR would waste airtime with such pathetic fluff.

Time NPR spends on pathetic fluff is time NPR is NOT spending on benefiting from torture.
