Stumblebum Brass

Fresh and Tasty band that puts on shows for thousands a day but only listened to by dozens. (NSFW lyrics)

Pretty awesome street band I found surfin the youtube. I guess they walk around NYC carrying their instruments and crash bars, just walk in playing. They were supposedly booed off of America's Got Talent for making fun of the Hoff.

Thanks - always nice to hear good music.

They sound great. And I love the idea of musicians crashing bars. And the fact that they were booed off that horrible TV show only serves to prove that they are worthy.

I wish punk's "brass" devision turned out more like Stumblebum and less like the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. [writing in notebook: Two points awarded to NYC, half-point deducted from Boston.]

I absolutely agree with flapjax. They gotta be aware of this since they have that video in their myspace page. Great band.

The crowd reaction on that TV show looks staged/directed.

Yeah, great band. I'd give 'em at least a couple nickels, and a swig out of my flask.

I like how the drummer looks like a bank teller on his lunch break. Good stuff.

Terrific. Anyone know how to get one of their CDs?

I have this thing about Sousaphone players...

This is great- I wish I knew which stations they frequent. During my daily commute, I used to always run into this accordion player who dressed in white from head to toe. I would much prefer these guys.

Freaking great. Reminds me of early jason wembly mixed with soul rebels or some other southern brass junx.

Thanks for this, I've been on the NYC subways for a while and haven't seen these bands :/

I wish ConcreteBeat would link to any websites the artists have.

I was at a bar in Philly, a place called Dirty Franks, when two guys came in, a trumpet player and a tuba player. They started playing, the jukebox was shut off, and they regaled us with a couple awesome jazz tunes. They called themselves "The Stumblebums."

And, though the bar was dark and it was long ago (and I was drunk), I can say, without a doubt: they were not the guys in the video.

But they're good too.

A brief interview, and another band called Stumblebums.
