We need a way to have, buy, and sit on fewer and better things. — from the CICINA, a 20 minute video presentation on their effort to compare all things in a massive bracketed set of 214 binary judgements. Which is better: Apples or Oranges?

I made it through 1.5 of the 20 minutes... compare that to, well, almost anything else, and CICINA loses.

and, to answer your question.... apples

I don't think many people would bother to peel an apple if it had a tough skin like an orange. If oranges had thinner, tasteless skins then they would be the clear winner.

...there are too many things on this planet. Although some of these things are good things and some are crappy things, they all vie for our attention with equal fervor.

Apples and oranges? That was settled years ago...

I loved this. I watched all twenty minutes in tearful rapture. I'm not even kidding. If you turned it off 90 seconds in, then maybe fart humor is more your speed. Not that there's anything wrong with fart jokes.

I clearly said 1.5 minutes, not 90 seconds....

And, if you had a dog that farts like mine does, you would find nothing funny about fart jokes!

I lasted way longer than 90 seconds, and this was pretty funny, yeah, but 20 minutes is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long for this joke.

That got better as it went along. But after 10 minutes or so, I skipped to the end.

Which is better: my milkshake or yours?

More than a joke it's social commentary and fairly sophisticated. It has to do with the dialectic between more stuff vs less stuff, more choice = anarchy -vs- less choice = authority -- it's fundamentally a political statement with a pro-liberal slant.

I want to see the chart.

The Bloch Building is not better than Night of the Hunter. Not by a long, long way. While I applaud the effort, the judges are clearly assholes.

They were right about the Aeron chair though. And the mammoth, so they have some potential.

Y'all need to sit on this.

Well, Hairy Lobster, my milkshake brings all the boys to the yard.
And they seem to be under the impression that it is better than yours.
Hence, damn right it is better than yours.

Actually awesome.

It's pretty difficult for an internet video to hold my attention for 20 minutes but this managed it.
