The Free Site Validator is for all y'all web designers who are tired of putting each and every page through the W3C Markup Validation Service. Enter the URL you'd like checked, start the report and you'll soon have every page of the site examined for valid markup and link rot. It also uses OpenID so you might already have an account! The site runs a bit slow at the moment due to heavy traffic.

All y'all? Because "y'all" has come to mean just "you", it is now necessary to set off the second-person plural with an additional "all". I look forward to the logical extension of this process: "all all y'all".

This would have been a good idea, perhaps about 6-7 years or more ago, when the majority of web sites were still being generated statically by hand. But in 2008 most - all? - sites that have multiple users are generated from a few templates by some form of CMS. Anyone developing a site would be (or should be) validating the base template output. Validating what can be thousands of pages with the identical structure is, imho, a waste of time. If your users are inserting some invalid markup within your template generated pages, you can't do much about it anyway. If you are managing a site that is still handcrafted (my condolences) this may be useful, but then your time is probably better spent upgrading the site to a more manageable system. I can't see what kind of feedback report is generated, since the site does not seem to accept Typekey (=OpenID) logins, and I'm not about to get an account on Yet Another Site. Understanding the results of the W3C validator, especially in verbose mode, is a great way to learn about valid markup anyway, and is more than enough.

All y'all? Y'all vs all y'all is "you" (plural) vs "all of you" (also plural). They're not identical. Bizarre or not, Sciurus didn't invent this. :)
