My workplace just installed some plants in the hallway. REAL plants. So I guess I'm safe for a few months at least. Assuming they value my contributions more than the plants'...

There's a "green" push for people to walk rather than drive to the company's other site a mile away.

Good use of scare quotes, they helped me to identify the writer of the piece as an idiot.

I read that more as management using green as an excuse to obfuscate the real reason for the economy drive rather than an illustration of the writer's own views.

Oh. I was confused because it appears under the heading "Pointless cost-cutting" and compares walking round the corner instead of driving to wiping your arse on tracing paper. I will admit that mandal's point is even more damning though.
