soon all we will have is Pat boone. Im playing what como i can find. father had a few Lps but I have no record machine. After the war, my uncle saw perry in chi-town around late '45-early 46'...man if the greats could get together one more time. "St. Petes" your pal for swing, tonight: frankie, deano, baba-ba-bing, glenn miller and the count. ( I CAN SEE FRANK,'get the big guy down here...,wanna try purgatory, keep sticking that pen in my face and ill show ya my pearly gate...baby) R.I.P mr. baritone.

I remember watching his Christmas specials when I was very young. That was one laid-back guy! There was a sketch on SNL (I think) where someone portraying him (Hartman?) lounged on a couch half asleep while singing & doing the Christmas thing. I had no idea that he sang "Hot Diggety." That's some up-tempo stuff, there!

Actually, sheep, I think you might be thinking of SCTV. According to The SCTV Guide, he was played by Eugene Levy.
