I suggest that they keep them away from bright light, not get them wet and, most importantly, do not feed them after midnight! posted by MaryDellamorte at 6:45 PM on November 19, 2008 [3 favorites has favorites]

I need one of those lil' duders for my shirt pocket. posted by The Straightener at 6:56 PM on November 19, 2008
You made this post just to make the Gremlins joke didn't you?
Oh gog, according to the second link they are going to be this Christmas's must have toy! I'm going to see those hands from the third link in my dreams tonight.
I saw this the other day and was sure it was a joke, but no. I can't decide whether they're adorable or horrifying or both. posted by kittens for breakfast at 6:59 PM on November 19, 2008
Heh. "Lil' duders." That's just the right thing to call them. :token squeal: posted by nosila at 7:08 PM on November 19, 2008
I hope their history does not now mirror that of the okapi. After the okapi were rediscovered zoos everywhere tried to keep them and it resulted in a lot of okapi dying until they got it right.
The lil' duders are very cute. I love the grouchy looking animals. posted by winna at 7:14 PM on November 19, 2008
I dunno, they look rather hideous to me. Can they go back where they came from and never return? posted by Captaintripps at 7:18 PM on November 19, 2008
extincted - that would be the past tense would it? posted by CDHJ at 7:36 PM on November 19, 2008
I could have sworn I put "extinct" and not "extincted." posted by MaryDellamorte at 7:51 PM on November 19, 2008
You did, but that's what happens when you feed them too late. posted by netbros at 7:59 PM on November 19, 2008
Is extincted correct grammar in this case? posted by MaryDellamorte at 8:01 PM on November 19, 2008
De-extinctified. Whoo hoo!

Yikes, tellurian! Your 'teeth' image chased away any cyooty-pooty response I might have had to this critter. Paging Goya to the Primate House Reception Area.... posted by maryh at 12:52 AM on November 20, 2008
