Does the FBI read Metafilter?Is the FBI gonna lock you up for what you've posted? Has the internet made it easier for the FBI etc. to survey our reach into the world of ideas and thoughts and add our own? I may go by "crasspastor" and I don't want to be labeled crackpastor, but doesn't it all make sense? Seattle Independent Media reports this as of April 27 2001 as a side note.

Thanks gluechunk. I was gonna post it myself, way back then, thought it to be personally too sensational for the likes of me to post and didn't. As I usually filter comments by "recent comments" I missed the scant five comments it garnered. So who knows whether I would have beat anybody to the punch or not. Regardless, whatcha' think of Zinn's essay?

I wondered whether or not the FBI might be interested in me, what with the drug war, and my involvement with NWTekno and DanceSafe. So I wrote them to ask for my records under the Freedom of Information Act. They didn't have any. Of course now that I've brought myself up to them, they might start paying more attention....

The FBI will just send former director Louie Freeh, fresh from the set of a soon-to-be-released film verison of "The Honeymooners," out to plant you one, right in the kisser. If you did anything illegal, and kept evidence online, and the FBI managed to keep up with the files, that is.

There was a rather good book with a rather unfortunate cover called "Alien Ink" that told true stories about the FBI prying into the lives of writers famous and not-quite-so.

Hemingway said the FBI was following him near the end, and it turns out they were!
