You gotta scroll some way no matter what, no? I can scroll up-down with my mousewheel. That's what it is for. Side scrolling is intrusive and annoying.

So does being a photographer lead to people spending half their time having sex, or is it that people who spend half their time having sex are more likely to become photographers? From my experience, I think it's the latter.

I can scroll up-down with my mousewheel. I can scroll left/right with mine by pushing it left or right. As for the photos themselves, not that impressed.

These are great. Her style is casual yet still sophisticated and her expression of tone and emotion is strong and pleasing. (Anyone bitching about the sidescrolling probably hasn't visited too many photographer's sites. It's rather common. I actually find it a convenient way to scroll through a lot of pictures. Anyway, if that is your only comment in someone's post it is probably best to just leave it to yourself.)

These photographs didn't really speak to me, with some exceptions. I really liked the first photograph here, for example. But a lot were too "snapshotty," for lack of the correct term, for my tastes. (I used to really hate sites that required side-scrolling, until I bought a computer with a trackpad that scrolls happily in any direction. But if you don't have a fancy notebook, or a nice mouse, those kinds of sites are really miserable to look at.)

This discussion sucks. I liked the pictures a lot. They seemed very personal - she captured a lot of minor details in people's facial expressions and the environments of the rooms that resonated with me. A lot of it looked like a more beautiful version of my life. Is it the most original subject matter? No. Have I seen photos in a similar style? Yes. But she tweaked enough of the details, in terms of style and composition, to make the photos feel fresh and to capture what I will, for lack of better terminology, call "an aesthetic vibe that I have experienced floating around lately."
