Jizz in my Pants is the newest (nsfpants) SNL Digital Short from The Lonely Island, featuring Justin Timberlake (ads, sorry) and Jamie Lynn Sigler. The Lonely Island first earned attention for things like Nintendo Cartoon Hour and Bing Bong Brothers, and have gained notoriety for things like Lazy Sunday and Dick in a Box.

Previously, here, here, here, here..

Ah crap, wrong lazy sunday. Sorry for the bork, but we've all seen it and no need to click, right?

Well, I'd never seen it. Can't stand the latest three or four incarnations of SNL, but man, that got me laughing this morning. Thanks.

Although your link is not the actual Lazy Sunday, I think those guys did a really good job.

I know this will sound like one of those backhanded compliments and it really isn't meant that way, but I like how these guys have managed over the years to keep that juvenile feel even as budgets have increased (more than zero) and they've become more famous.

It's all been downhill since 'Dick in a Box'. How can you top that level of genius? They should quit before it's too late.

Thank you for this! I love them but I hadn't been checking up on them, and I probably wouldn't have heard about it otherwise.

Reminded me of this bit from The Fast Show: clip 1, clip 2. Much along the same lines as the song, but without the singing. And not on Hulu, so I can actually watch it </snark>

Love the accents. I sawr a film.

Why isn't Jorma Taccone on SNL yet? I mean, based on my quick napkin math, he's funnier than 92.5% of the current cast.

(I'm still partial to the early Nasty Natalie myself, mostly for the (literal) viking.)

The funniest digital short (in my opinion) was the Natalie Portman short. I personally thought it was a lot funnier than Dick in the Box.

That was Molly Sims (the supermodel)? I thought it was a man dressed up as a woman....
posted by anniecat at 7:56 AM on December 7, 2008

I don't see any humor in the Natalie Portman raps.

Is it supposed to be funny because it's Natalie Portman, and she's rapping?
posted by autodidact at 8:07 AM on December 7, 2008

it's supposed to be funny because the skit goes against everything most people think of Natalie Portman.
posted by gman at 8:13 AM on December 7, 2008

and the Viking still sucks.

The more I see from Andy Samberg, the more I have to wonder about his relationship with Joanna Newsom. Are they still a couple? Imagine you go out to a fancy dinner with your boyfriend, excited to tell him about all the progress you've made on your Appalachian-tinged elegy for harp with lyrics drawing from Vedic and Celtic mythology. But he's drunk, he brought his Lonely Island buddies with him again, and they won't stop yelling about how they jizzed in their pants.

GMan, you must be on the wrong medication. It's all about the viking.

bjrn - The difference between this and The Fast Show is the faces they pull. The American face twisting gurn is a whole different breed to the Englishman's look of mild amusement.

I've watched it on a variety of different meds and each time I dread his imminent appearance.

Re: Samberg / Newsom / wait, wait, wait, WHAT?

This link.

Aside from the fact that it's Joanna Newsom at a hockey game... One of the best things about the series of photos is Akiva, sitting in the row behind Andy, Joanna, Jorma and having NO PART OF THOSE HIJINX.

Well, great, now I'm dead inside.

Or, rather, more dead inside. Just when I think I'm all the way dead, along comes a piece of news that manages to find some fresh piece of aliveness to kill.

I agree with gman, that darn viking keeps showing up in my kitchen and it's fucking with my head.

Wait, there's a video of him?

Meh, lame. I would have thought this was hilarious when I was thirteen, though, which is maybe the audience they're aiming at (I know I watched more SNL in junior high than at any other point), so okay. Samberg's (sp?) "Are You There, Jah?" and "Mark Wahlberg Talks to Animals," on the other hand, are gold.

He is a writer for it now. I'm sure he (and the rest of the lonely island crew) are a big part of the reason I can actually stand watching SNL the last couple years. Their humor is my humor. I just hope that when they all get chances at their own gigs, they decide to revive Awesome Town. (A girl can dream, right?)

Not really, but I did sneeze. That's sort of the same.

I squealed like a little girl last night watching this when I saw both Jorma and Akiva in the video (particularly because I've always had a little crush on Jorma). It was like The Lonely Island vintage. Though it'll never measure up to the "replay and laugh until I drool" first time when I saw Kablammo years ago, it made me all kinds of happy. I'd like to think this was a bit of fan service for The Lonely Island fans. Also Jorma and Akiva are TOTALLY the cute ones in the trio. Akiva's high-pitched screechy rap style is way too endearing.

OK, I take that back. I replayed this and laughed until I drooled. God, I'm like a 12-year-old boy.

Somebody please explain to a Dutch bloke: why do they sound rather British in the Jizz in my Pants skit?

It's affected (and funny) since they're parodying "European" club music.

Justin Timberlake had to cancel a recent hosting gig on SNL, and as I watched the Jizz segment last night, I couldn't escape the feeling that this premise was intended to feature JT in the role Samberg played. I may never know if I'm right about that, but I think it would have been even more hilarious and a fitting follow-up to Dick In A Box
posted by chudmonkey at 11:22 AM on December 7, 2008

It fell a little flat for me. I guess I haven't been to a club for a while, because I couldn't figure out what kind of music they were making fun of. Oh, well.

I still like this as much as anything they've done on SNL (warning: just the audio, not the fan-made video.)

Timberlake was in the "Jizz" video - he was the guy doing the cleanup on Aisle 3 in the grocery store.

Timberlake was in the video for about 2 seconds, which means that he could have filmed his cameo in as little as a few minutes. His cameo could easily have been in place of the more prominent role I believe was originally intended.

I think that's Akiva Schaefer, but he's on camera so briefly I can't really tell for sure.

This was awesome, as is the standard for the Dudes. The repeated jizzings near the end had me rolling. My greatest hope is that their next project after SNL will be a full half-hour series revival of The 'Bu. Or at least an actual ending for the original.

IANAG but they don't look like they're having any fun. isn't jizzing -- even in one's pants -- supposed to be pleasurable? they look like they're fighting acid reflux disease or something.

that's totally JT as the cleanup guy on aisle 3

There's something about these Andy Samberg videos that seem humor-free the first time I watch them... but then something makes me watch it again, then again, and by the 4th time I'm laughing so hard that I'm crying.
posted by the jam at 9:52 PM on December 7, 2008

Yeah, nothing about that is supposed to be as hilarious as it was, but alas, I was laughing out loud. Good production value, catchy tune, hilarious affected accents, and Justin Timberlake in coveralls... shaking his head solemnly. No, that's aces.
