Not a lot rhymes with lego

I had never noticed how...homogenous...minifigs are.

Aside from that slight annoyance, this is pretty rad.

I saw this on The Awesomer the other day. Another case of The Awesomer living up to it's name.

I saw that over the weekend and started to post it, but I think they did kind of a lame job at selection and recreation. I was so waiting to see OBFCL but it wasn't there. Jean Grae & 9th Wonder did it awesomely though.

Blackout wasn't too bad. Anyway, I'm still mad how they did 3000's hair. He went from crazy to weezer band member.

Eggo. Eggo rhymes with Lego. And tastes delicious alright.

Actually, I just looked through The Awesomer, and didn't find the lego hip-hop thing. Oops. I guess I just automagically assumed it was there when I saw this again.

In the style of Emeritus (by Scarface), since that's what I'm listening to today:

Leggo of my rap style now - cause I said so
All up in hip hop so much, she might be preggo
I busted out the gate with the lead right from the get go
Progressive and All-State, you're cheap, just like that gecko

This is pretty cool, and given the inherent constraints of Lego minifigs, pretty well done. The album selection is also fairly diverse.

But "classic hip hop albums"? Really?
posted by paisley henosis at 11:08 AM on December 16, 2008

Are those flat-top hairpieces stock or custom? Because that is some dope minifig hair right there.

The De La, EPMD and Run DMC images are brilliant.

"Well-known hip hop albums" might be more fitting title.

I really like The Chronic, because he looks so happy, while Dre does not. I also really like ODB, looking like Rick James in a space suit.

Yeah, I question the inclusion of some of these as "classic" albums (The fucking Game? Give me a break), and some of them are pretty poorly done (Slick Rick, Biz Markie), while others are pretty cool (Run DMC, Common).

GuyZero, you can browse the 196 items in the "headgear" category, and find all the weird and wacky hair styles Lego made.

Complete the following rap lyric: "My rhymes, they fit together like lego"

a) "You're comin' up sayin' 'Why I gotta beg yo?'"
b) "I'm size 16 and a half, just like Peg's toe."
c) "Gout is predominantly a leg woe."
d) "My blood type, for brevity's sake, I call 'Neg O'"
e) "I'm like the American Heart Association, in that I'm an egg foe."

Complete the following rap lyric: "My rhymes, they fit together like lego"

With the comma there, that line would work great as an Ice Ice Baby lyric. For example:

All right stop, collaborate and listen
Ice is back with my brand new invention
Something, grabs a hold of me tightly
Then I flow like a harpoon daily and nightly
My rhymes, they fit together like lego
Try and test me and get cracked like an egg yo
To the extreme, I rock a mic like a vandal
Light up a stage and wax a chump like a candle.

I use instruction sheets and abandon my creativity.
My posse Uptown play Legos.

Thank you filty light thief for making me aware of bricklink.com. That's obsessive fandom at its best.

My girlfriend and I really love Lego, especially Technic. We've bought several sets over the past few months. While Technic is of course the greatest creativity toy in existence, we also enjoy following the instructions to build the model on the front of the box.

We take turns being the "builder" and the "digger". The rule is: only the builder gets to see the instructions, and only the digger gets to search through the collection of pieces. The only communication is verbal, so we've gone to great lengths to find ways of describing each individual piece uniquely.

It's tough to describe a distinction between this grey piece with two holes in different directions and this grey piece with two holes in different directions. Inevitably, this becomes a "little dick" and this becomes a "big dick".

Thanks to this site and the terminology it provides, she can now request a connector with axle hole instead of a "double asshole".

yes, those legos are sure white

There's definitely a lack of diversity of skin (plastic?) color.

But they aren't white. They are all yellow. Every single one of them.

(Actually I've seen black Legos, but never any white ones, except maybe the skeletons).

The classic comics of Carl Barks apparently had a very polarizing effect on my intellectual development. I gained a life-long appreciation for adventure stories and the National Geographic, but the only thing I ever made out of Lego bricks was reproductions of the Money Bin.
