Courtesy of the Spec the Halls project for Christmas-themed science-fiction, a trio of holiday yarns with an emphasis on heavy use of the traditional yuletide automaton: Merry Christmas, Mr. Yao; Last Christmas; The Christmas Robots.

Full disclosure: I wrote the story at the third link, but my mom said it was probably good enough for submission to the blue. Merry merry!

This post was deleted for the following reason: Don't post links to anything you wrote. Pretty basic and hard-set rule -- mathowie

Christmas on Mars
Self-linking is naughty, and will probably get this otherwise perfectly adequate post deleted.

Since this is obviously a sophisticated joke, you should explain it quickly before the post is deleted.

If that were an iron-clad rule, we wouldn't see posts with the "full disclosure" addendum on them -- but such caveats are hardly rare here. I think it's more likely that self-linking is discouraged in order to keep abuse at bay.

This post isn't meant as MeFi-abuse: it's topical and timely.
