"State of Independence" is one of my favorite songs - though, I prefer the cover version by Moodswings, featuring vocals by Chrissie Hynde.

No mention of the Donna Summer version of "State of Independence"? In Brian Eno's diary, he mentions how it always brings him to tears. I think he's subsequently cited it as his favorite song on several occasions.
