Snow day at the zoo. Even the baby elephant has fun. Seals, tigers, wolf, elephants. Teh cute starts at 2:36.

I've wondered what zoos do with their open-air animals if it snows. I would've figured a lot of the ones from warmer climates would be horribly cold. But I guess they do OK, huh?
They usually do, but unfortunately not always. It means that when they screw up, it's serious.
Also, I just came back from a walk up the Puerto Vallarta zoo, so wonderful timing!

Kind of funny how my snow instincts go exactly along with that baby elephant's. Eat it, throw it, roll around in it for a while, then rinse and repeat.

So here's the deal: the sweet baby phelephant did not make me choke up with the power of its cuteness. I don't care what anyone may have thought that they saw or heard or whatever, it was totally a misunderstanding. There was dust in the air and I was sniffing onions and peppers as a test for some kind of thing.
Seriously, anyone claims they witnessed any kind of emotion in me watching the baby take its trunk and splash the snow over its head is totally and grievously mistaken.
I am a cold, hard hearted bastard. I love nothing.
Especially not lil' baby 'phants dancing round in the snow.
Not me.

Then on December 22 Hannah received a hand-delivered letter informing her that unless she got rid of both of her pets by January 23 the council will begin eviction proceedings."
