Further proof that America's Funniest Home Videos got it right.

For those of us at home reminded of huddling around the tv and watching TGIF or America's Funniest Home Videos with our families, there's relief: we weren't as hokey as we thought. The FAIL trend continues and can now be expected to become an annual end-of-year montage. Meanwhile, AFV has introduced a fun new game that captures exactly what this is all about.

Love me a bit of FHV. In fact, I'm always suspicious of people who don't like it. It's usually your highly strung, PC, clean-freak type personality. Oh, and humourless (duh).

:) A good litmus test when meeting new people.

I was looking at this about 10 seconds before I saw this FPP. It came up in conversation, and sure enough, Google / Youtube delivered. [3 SECONDS, SAFE FOR WORK]

I don't mind watching these as long as the person doesn't appear to be seriously injured, like those skaters that fly off of something and put another joint in their arm.

Who else likes studying the more spectacular accidents frame-by-frame? I like the 2 or 3 frames between getting whacked in the head with a cricket bat and them fully realising they’ve been whacked in the head with a cricket bat. There should be a term for it... apart from "annoying the hell out of your girlfriend."

One last observation. Piñatas. Jeesuss Louise-uss. There could be a whole show just on them. The other night I saw a wise lady taking cover well away, behind a tree. The weighted head flew off the club, rolled around the tree, and then kicked up and got her right in the face. Superb!

Hmmm. That looked kinda fake. Especially the secondary fail.

Below it was a link to this one. This one was NASTY. I can't believe the guy wasn't in an ambulance, let alone talking and smiling .

I love this sort of thing until I actually see limbs pointing in the wrong direction or similar. I especially like seeing idiots damaging their expensive toys while trying to show off.

I could never figure out what this guy was trying to pull off there. It seriously looks like he was trying to impress the judges with how much he could injury himself.

It seems that most of the times I've heard a male paraplegic respond to the question "How did it happen?", the answer was something like "Well, I was 18, and I thought it would be fun to...".

That's what I was thinking when I watched this video.
