Have you ever wondered how Samus got all her powers? I mean, really, how does a simple back-planet girl learn to use this mysterious Chozo technology?

This is awesome. But the (lack of) page-to-page navigation is annoying.

Heartfully agreed.

What would I have to own to understand this?

It greatly helps your understanding if you read the dialogue boxes from right to left. Even though it's been translated, the pages haven't been flipped. Other than that, I'm not sure. I "get" most of it, though I've never actually played a Metroid game to completion (or even past the first couple levels).

strangecargo: just use downthemall or flashget to batch-download the images, and then whatever comic reader you want.

strangecargo: even better yet, copy-paste this into your address bar while you have the metroid site open.

I think volume 2 was somewhat out of order, & I'm surprised you didn't mention the bunny.

Thankyou to both cthuljew and suedehead for the FPP itself and the comment that made it readable respectively. Although I as a long-time Nintendo fanboy pretty much knew Samus' backstory, this is pretty fucking great regardless. I always get a kick out of stuff like this.

Well, with all the tats, the makeup, eyeliner, thin eyebrows, permed hair and lipstick, a lot of vatos in lowriders in the barrio would teach her...

...oh, sorry, thought that said 'cholo' technology.

Damn it! I was halfway through reading, and got killed be Kraid! Now I want to do a speed run of Super Metroid. Nostalgia is a persuasive mistress.

This is one of those things I have to live my life without having read because the poster doesn't want me to read it. I'm okay with that. The cover looked nice.
