Parallel coordinates is an interesting take on multivariate data display, but with all due respect to Inselberg, you might do better to learn about it from a different source than this webpage.

Adding to what I said above, if you're taking a serious approach to learning about parallel coordinates, I would very much recommend reading the papers by Inselberg about the subject. For a quick web-based introduction for someone with limited mathematical background, I would try Parallel Coordinates Introduction and Multivariate Analysis Using Parallel Coordinates and suggest trying this applet as a way to interact with a parallel coordinate system.
